A Message from your GE Healthcare Ambassadors
Turning 65 ? Your Medicare Insurance begins on the 1st day of your birth month.
Your GE Supplement Insurance, begins on the 1st day of your birth month ,
if you sign up before your birthday.
However, if you make no elections within 90 days after your 65th birthday,
you will lose eligibility for most of your options forever !
Your GE Health Care Ambassador, Judy Vittitoe are at the Union Hall
on Mondays from 12:00 – 4:00 PM , to help you get signed up, or if
you have questions about your options.
From the President
I want take this opportunity to wish you all the best in your retirement
years ahead. You've all worked hard to get to this time in your lives and deserve
to enjoy many great retirement years ahead. Congratulations !
I would like to encourage those retiring to become active in our IUE-CWA Retiree
Club. The club meets here at the Local 761 Union Hall, the first Tuesday of each month
at 1:00 pm. Please become involved. A complete list of retirees will be published .
Local 761 retirees laid the ground work many years ago, for benefits we enjoy today.
Due to the outpouring of our retirees this past summer at our Local 761 Kick-Off Rally,
I feel they got the attention of the GE negotiators in New York . The plea from our
retirees who have been retired for many years " was finally heard " and they are receiving
a well deserved pension increase .
In closing, I want to take the opportunity to acknowledge out-going Local 761
Retiree President , Bob Davis for his many contributions to this Local. While Bob has
stepped down as Club President, I know he will remain active in retiree activities. I also
want to welcome newly elected Local 761 Retiree Club President Jerry Beckum, and
assure him he will have the support of this Local Union in the years to come.
